From a whisk of an idea to 300 delights delivered! Thank you for donating a pie.

When the Sokong team set out to launch a campaign, our aspiration was clear: to create an initiative that could touch multiple lives and resonate deeply within the community. As fate would have it, Stand Pie Me shared a similar vision. This harmonious alignment of thoughts gave rise to the "Pie It Forward" campaign.

The clock was ticking, as we had merely a week to roll out the campaign and a tight two-week window to achieve our target of RM2,000. Given that it was Sokong's debut initiative, the stakes were high and our hopes even higher.

Timed perfectly to resonate with the spirit of Malaysia Day, the campaign went live on 11 September 2023. The subsequent days were a whirlwind of activity. We dived headfirst into rigorous social media promotions, relied on the age-old magic of word of mouth, leveraged the power of Malaysiakini's website advertisements, and even made headlines in the media.

But, what truly made this campaign come alive were our supporters. Every ringgit, every share, and every word of encouragement mattered. A collective effort saw us reach our campaign goal a day ahead of schedule – a testament to the combined strength of a community that cares.

And today, that care culminated into 300 delectable chicken mushroom pies, lovingly crafted by the gifted bakers of Stand Pie Me. These pies found their way to the hearts (and stomachs!) of children from five incredible organisations dedicated to nurturing underprivileged children and teenagers: Yayasan Chow Kit, PUSPA KL, Persatuan Rumah K.I.D.S, Shelter: Home for Children, and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Asnaf An-Naafi Kuala Lumpur.

By being a part of this heartwarming journey, you've not just gifted a pie – you've empowered young adults with autism, brought twinkles to young eyes, and etched smiles on innocent faces. In essence, you've truly "baked" a difference.
