KUALA LUMPUR, 12 June 2025 – During the recent Ramadan season, Seri-Aji® launched its Bersahur Bersama Seri-Aji® campaign, aiming to make every pre-dawn meal (sahur) more meaningful for the community. Carrying the slogan “Sahur Seribu Kebaikan” (A Thousand Blessings at Sahur), the campaign encouraged public participation through simple yet impactful acts: for every contest entry or recipe video shared on social media, RM1 was donated to a charity fund.
Thanks to strong community support, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad (AMB) successfully raised RM20,000, which was then channeled to two strategic partners — Yayasan MyKasih and Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia — to support families in need.
“At AMB, we believe that health is life’s most valuable asset. Balanced nutrition is not a luxury but a basic need that should be accessible to all,” said Ms. Lee Soon Howe, Senior Deputy General Manager of Consumer Marketing at AMB. “This contribution is not just financial aid, but a reflection of Ajinomoto’s care for community well-being.”
On 18 May, AMB staff joined hands with Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia and student volunteers from Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM) Bangi to pack and distribute 100 “Kindness Baskets” — each filled with daily essentials such as rice, cooking oil, vermicelli, sugar, and Seri-Aji® seasoning. These were distributed to families at Flat Dadimur in Kuala Lumpur, bringing not only nourishment but also a message of love and care.
The initiative also received meaningful support from WITUS (Women & Single Mothers Welfare Association), a local NGO, who played a vital role in ensuring smooth distribution.
Meanwhile, RM10,000 from the funds raised was allocated to Yayasan MyKasih, helping 66 families receive basic groceries for two months. This provided much-needed relief by improving access to essential food items, including AMB products like Seri-Aji®.
A briefing session was held on 31 May to guide beneficiaries on how to use the assistance effectively. AMB also conducted a cooking demo using Seri-Aji® Fried Rice Seasoning and Tom Yam Paste, showing how easy it is to prepare balanced and delicious meals using just a few basic ingredients.

One recipient shared, “Thank you, Seri-Aji®, for this initiative. I never used fried rice seasoning before, but after trying it today, my child loved it! It’s tasty, time-saving, and perfect for working families like ours.”
Through this campaign, Seri-Aji® didn’t just offer easy-to-make meals — it helped create moments of connection and togetherness among families.
