Event: 70 years of General Elections: Shaping Malaysian Democracy

Tindak Malaysia plans to hold its flagship event on 26th - 27th July 2025 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the first General Elections in Malaysia (1955 Malayan Elections). This two-day event will involve an exhibit, panel discussions, and interactive sessions on: - Election History - Redelineation - Electoral System - Stories about Polling Agents, Counting Agents, Barung Agents (PACBA), Petugas and Pemerhati - How can one get involved in the electoral process? The objectives of the event: 1. To raise awareness of the public on the role of elections, Election Commissions, and one's rights and responsibilities in the electoral sphere 2. To inspire and recruit future individuals to be PACA, Pemerhatis, Petugas, and Redelineation Objectors This event will be public, and members of the public, civil society, and any interested parties are welcome to attend at any time. We are raising funds to cover venue costs, labour works associated with events, printing materials, and miscellaneous activities
