A five-year-old boy’s battle with leukemia is far from over but you can help change his story.
At first, it was nothing alarming — a simple fall, the kind every child takes when learning to run, jump, and play. But soon after, unexplained bruises appeared, and little Muhammad Fattah Aqmal began losing his energy. When the fever didn’t subside and his body grew weaker, his parents knew something was terribly wrong.
In August 2024, their worst fears were confirmed. Fattah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Pre-B ALL), a form of blood cancer that strikes quickly and aggressively, especially in children.
Just five years old, Fattah was thrust into a world of needles, hospital beds, and unfamiliar medical terms — a world no child should ever have to know.
A Childhood Lost to Chemotherapy
Since his diagnosis, Fattah’s days have been filled with monthly chemotherapy sessions and spinal injections. These treatments are harsh on his little body, leaving him weak and in pain. He cries when the nurses approach, not because he’s afraid of strangers, but because he knows it will hurt.
His mother stays by his side, holding his hand through every procedure. His father, Encik Amar, works long hours to support their family of seven. He’s a hardworking, honest man, but the burden of rising medical costs is more than any parent should face alone.
A New Emergency: Life-Saving Medication Now Out of Reach
Just when the family thought things couldn’t get worse, Fattah suffered a severe allergic reaction to one of his key medications. This forced doctors to urgently switch him to a new treatment plan, which is significantly more expensive.
Their medical expenses have now soared from RM45,440 to RM97,440.
For a single-income family already stretched thin, this is a crushing blow. Rent, school expenses for the older children, food — everything becomes a sacrifice. And in the middle of it all is Fattah, a small boy with wide eyes and a soft voice, just wanting to get better.
He Deserves a Chance And You Can Give It to Him
Fattah is not a statistic. He’s a son, a brother, a friend. He loves cartoons and toy cars. He smiles when he sees his siblings after long days in the hospital. He is fighting for his life, but he shouldn’t have to fight alone.
Your support can help ease his pain and give him a real shot at recovery.
When you donate to Fattah’s campaign, you’re not just giving money but you’re also giving hope. You’re giving a child the chance to grow up. To go to school. To run, fall, and get back up, like every child should.
